What Gets Synced

With Meta connected, Hostmatic tracks:

  • Post engagement — Likes, comments, shares, and saves
  • Reach and impressions — How many people see your content
  • Profile visits — Traffic to your Facebook Page or Instagram profile
  • Website clicks — Clicks from social profiles to your website
  • Follower growth — Audience size changes over time

How to Connect

  1. Go to Integrations in the sidebar
  2. Click Connect next to Meta (Facebook/Instagram)
  3. Sign in with your Facebook account
  4. Select the Facebook Page and/or Instagram Business account you want to track
  5. Authorize Hostmatic to access your account data

The connection uses Meta's OAuth flow. Hostmatic gets read-only access to your page analytics — it cannot post on your behalf or modify your accounts.

Requirements

  • A Facebook Page (not a personal profile) for your property or business
  • An Instagram Business or Creator account (personal Instagram accounts don't provide analytics)
  • Admin access to the Facebook Page
  • The Instagram account must be linked to the Facebook Page

Converting to a Business Account

If your Instagram is a personal account:

  1. Go to Instagram Settings → Account
  2. Choose "Switch to Professional Account"
  3. Select "Business" and connect to your Facebook Page

Using Social Data

Once connected, visit Insights → Social Performance to see:

  • Which posts generate the most engagement
  • Your best-performing content types
  • Audience growth trends
  • Website click-through from social

Combine this with the Social Post Creator to create data-informed content that drives engagement and bookings. The Social Post Creator also supports direct publishing to Facebook and Instagram through our Zernio integration — generate a post and publish it without leaving Hostmatic.

Plan Notes

  • Meta analytics (this page's data) requires Pro Host.
  • Social publishing to Facebook and Instagram through the Social Post Creator requires Weekend Host or higher (separate from analytics).

Troubleshooting

Connection failed

  • Ensure you're signing in with an account that has admin access to the Page
  • Check that your Instagram account is linked to the Facebook Page
  • Try disconnecting and reconnecting

Missing Instagram data

  • Verify your Instagram is a Business or Creator account (not personal)
  • Ensure it's linked to the Facebook Page you selected

Token expired

  • Meta tokens can expire. If data stops syncing, go to Integrations and reconnect your account.
